We are saddened to share that our friend and retired member, Lee Corkrum, passed away on January 5, 2025.

Lee joined the firm as an associate in 1975 and was instrumental in shaping the firm into what it is today. His legacy endures in the many individuals he mentored over the years. As a member in the firm's litigation practice, Lee handled a wide array of cases, including commercial disputes, personal injury claims, and product liability litigation. He was especially renowned for his work on cases involving toxic torts, professional malpractice, and medical devices.

Those who were in the litigation department during the 1990s were either directly or indirectly supervised by Lee. He was an exceptional attorney who not only achieved outstanding results for our clients but also played a pivotal role in developing the next generation of lawyers.

Geoff Bridgman, OMW Chair, shared a quote attributed to Benjamin Franklin that captures Lee’s generosity as a mentor: "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." We are grateful for Lee's generosity and willingness to be a truly remarkable mentor.

We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to Lee’s wife, Darlene, and their son, Jason. Lee will be missed by his loved ones, his OMW family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
